Our story

Designers and builders,
together.

MHA Creative Landscapes was founded on the belief that the best landscapes happen when the people who design them are the same people who build them.

Best of Marin County
Award Nominee
The beginning

Est. 2017. In the
craft since 2008.

MHA Creative Landscapes was founded in 2017 by Michael, who began working in the landscape industry in 2008. After years of learning the trade from the ground up, he built a firm around a single idea: the people who draw the plan should be the people who build it.

Today, MHA brings expert designers and a C27 licensed build team together under one roof. What you describe in the first meeting is what ends up in the ground. No translation. No handoff. No surprises. Just a landscape that is unmistakably yours.

"The best landscape is the one that feels like it was always yours."

MHA Creative Landscapes is a proud nominee of the Marin County Best of the County Award, a recognition built on the trust clients have placed in us over the years.

What we stand for

How we approach
every project.

01

Listen First

Every project starts with a conversation about how you actually use your outdoor space, who gathers there, and what feeling you are after. We pick up the pencil after we understand your life.

02

One Team, Every Step

Your designer and your builder are never strangers to each other. They are the same team. From the first sketch to the last stone, nothing gets lost in translation.

03

Enduring Craft

We select materials and plants for the long term. A landscape that looks better at ten years than at one. Built with intention, maintained with the same care that created it.

the Bay Area.
